Macro stores what you log so it can show your day and trends. We don't sell your data or show ads. You can download or delete everything at any time from You › Account.

Account: your name and email from Google or Apple sign-in.

What you log: foods and their nutrition, meal photos, chat messages with the coach, body weight and your goals.

Voice: recordings are sent for transcription and not kept; only the resulting text is stored.

Whoop (if you connect it): your daily energy expenditure, plus access tokens so we can read it. Disconnecting deletes both.

Apple Health (iPhone, if you connect it): Macro writes the meals and weigh-ins you log to Apple Health, and reads body weight from it (for example from a smart scale). Imported weigh-ins are stored with your log and treated like weigh-ins you enter, which includes the coach using them (see Who processes it). Macro reads only weight from Apple Health, plus the meals it saved there itself. Health data is never used for advertising or marketing, never sold, and turning the connection off stops it. You can remove what Macro wrote in the Health app.

Usage: a record of each AI request (what kind, when, and what it cost us), used to run and price the service.

Convex hosts the database and photos. Clerk handles sign-in. Vercel hosts the app.

AI: your messages, photos and relevant parts of your log are sent to Google's Gemini models through Vercel AI Gateway to estimate nutrition and reply. Voice recordings go to xAI for transcription.

Food lookups send food names (never your identity) to USDA FoodData Central, Open Food Facts and a web search provider.

These providers process data only to provide their service to us.

Until you delete it. Delete account (You › Account) permanently removes your log, photos, chat, weight, goals, Whoop data and sign-in account.

Download my data gives you a copy of everything in a standard format. You can edit or delete any entry, disconnect Whoop or Apple Health, or delete your account whenever you like.

Macro is a food and weight journal, not a medical service. Nutrition figures are estimates.
